Abstract

Since the beginning of her literary career Githa Hariharan has been anxious to know the answers of several social, economic, political and cultural questions that troubled her in moments of isolation. She wrote poems and novels to express her doubts, anxieties, curiosities and obsessions. Of course she never feels proud of being an artist though she is well-known as an activitist. Frequently she expresses her political opinions in the novels as she has an eager desire to change the traditional world.
