Abstract
The present survey was conducted in the Bhopal city to explore and investigate the morphology of the members of cucurbitaceae family growing throughout the Bhopal district. In the present work various field visits were made to different localities of the study area. During floristic explorations 15 species under 10 genera of cucurbittaceae family were collected and their morphology was detailed.The dominant genera in the study area were Cucumis, luffa, Cucurbita, Momordica, Trichosanthus which were represented by 2 species each. Whereas the remaining genera such as Coccinia, Ctenolepis Lageneria and Mukia were represented by single species each in study area.
