Abstract
Medical negligence can be defined as misconduct by a medical practitioner or doctor, and causes many deaths and illnesses each year. The victim of medical negligence can approach the courts under various laws such as Torts, Penal Law, Indian Contract Act, Consumer Protection Act, etc.In this article researcher focuses on explaining negligence under various laws, the legal aspects and consequences of medical negligence, discussing landmark cases of medical negligenceand aims to spread awareness regarding the same amongst the masses in India.
