Abstract
The youth of today’s world spend more time on social media interacting online with social groups.They find pleasure being online than with any other activity.As older teenagersgets more freedomfrom parents they are more prone to be in the trap of cyber criminals, as they are curious and keento know what is unknown and are ready to take risk to any extent. Adolescent girls who usually arenew to the cyber world fail to understand the vices of internet and are most susceptible to fall intothe bait of cyber criminals. While searching for knowledge and information, these children may getexposed to some sexually explicit internet sites which may appear as popup, links, and instantmessages or as attachments.Chat rooms are yetanother place where the adolescent children get trapped in the hands of fraudsters. Here we discuss about the various types of cybercrimes that are inflicted upon an adolescent girl and how they can adversely affect the wellbeing of undergraduategirls.
